Hey Maritimers and fellow explorers! My name is Meg, and my sidekick is Greg! I’m a Canadian/maritimer born and raised, and Greg is an American living here in the maritimes now.
When Greg moved to Canada to live with me, he was amazed and so excited by maritime culture. All of the things that I took for granted growing up. I’ve always lived within 10-30 minutes of the ocean, and never really though much of it. One of Greg’s favourite things is the ocean, something that he never had in the state that he’s from. We started doing things in the Maritimes together so that he could see all of the great sights and adventures that we have to offer here. I always wanted to be a vlogger/blogger so I figured, why not start appreciating the things that we have in our own backyard here in the Maritimes? I have a new found appreciation for the wonderful places around here and Greg has a fresh perspective and excitement. So we have a great balance, someone from another country appreciating what we have to offer, and someone who grew up here re-discovering what their home has to offer. We hope that you follow along on our adventures and hope that they offer some help to you as well on great places to check out!
Greg and I currently live in New Brunswick with our two dogs, Molson and Brover. I grew up in Nova Scotia and we are probably in Nova Scotia still at least 1-2 times a month, there’s no place like home!
We are getting married in May 2021 (fingers crossed) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is our third time planning our wedding as the first two dates were postponed due to the pandemic. Third time is a charm!
We hope you join us on our adventures. We are by no means professionals – this is all just for fun to meet others who have common interests and share our own experiences and fun.
Don’t forget to check out our Youtube channel (for our vlogs!) and follow along on Instagram and Twitter as well! I hope to hear from as many people as possible and all of your own adventures and suggestions on new places to explore!
